The City of Pomona works in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (LACSD) to implement federal requirements for industrial waste.  The Industrial Waste program consists of permitting, inspection and compliance programs that allow for tracking, assessment, notification and enforcement of all applicable regulations.

Industrial users are required to obtain an Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit through the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts.  Permit applications are reviewed by City and LACSD staff to determine if the pretreatment equipment proposed is adequate to meet appropriate discharge limits.
