It is a residential curbside pick-up service that the City provides by appointment for the special collection of bulky items in tandem with the curbside trash and collection service for residential customers.

You may request a maximum of four (4) large items for each scheduled pickup (to consist of two metal and two non-metal items), and up to ten (10) bundles of wood, tree limbs, or rolls of carpet.

A bulky item is defined as a large item such as a refrigerator, stove, or dresser. Additionally, the City considers the following items to be scheduled as a single item: table and chairs, washer and dryer, sofa and love seat. The City does not accept hazardous waste materials, such as paint, paint thinners, tires, hypodermic needles, motor oil, pesticides or herbicides.

City of Pomona residents, including multi-family residents, with trash collection service are eligible to schedule a bulky item pick-up.

Six requests per household per calendar year; limited to one request per bi-monthly billing cycle, provided at no charge. Each additional bulky item pick-up requested within a billing cycle during the calendar year will be provided for a charge of $25.00 (per unit of service). The Bulky Item pick-up charge will be billed on the next regular statement of services under Solid Waste Charges.

Contact Athens Services at (888) 314-0061. A customer service representative will schedule the pick-up on your regular trash collection. Place the item(s) on the curb the night before or no later than 5:00 a.m. on the date scheduled. Please note that there is a maximum capacity, and preference will be given to early callers.

No. One truck will pick up the metal items and another truck will pick up the non-metal items.

All items should be placed curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled pick up day. Please leave items out until 4:00 p.m.

El máximo de dos (2) artículos grandes y hasta diez (10) bultos de madera, ramas o rollos de alfombra.

Artículos voluminosos son artículos grandes, por ejemplo un refrigerador, estufa, tocador. Además, la Ciudad considera los artículos siguientes como un (1) articulo: mesa y sillas, lavadora y secadora, o dos sofás. Excluyendo materiales de desechos tóxicos como pinturas, disolvente de pintura, llantas, agujas hipodérmicas, aceite de motor, pesticidas o herbicidas.

El residente de cuenta o persona que esta autorizada puede ordenar la colección. Si desea autorizar a otra persona para tener acceso a su cuenta y solicitar una -colección de su parte, póngase en contacto con Athens Services al (888) 314-0061

Los primeros dos (2) ordenes son gratis, cada próximo orden entre el año tendrá un cargo de $25.00 por cada orden. Los cargos por el servicio serán facturados con los de basura.
