The City of Pomona invites artists or artist teams to submit qualifications to render, design and install artwork on several locations throughout Hamilton Park.  

We are seeking an experienced Artist or Artist Team that reside within Los Angeles County or San Bernardino County. There will be a preference for Artists from and residing in Pomona, CA.   

_{Artists will not be eligible to apply if they have been previously commissioned for a public artwork project by the City’s Cultural Arts Commission in the last three years, whose budget was equal to, or exceeds, $100,000. Artists who currently have contracts with the City will need to complete all projects before the deadline of Part A: Submission of Qualifications takes place to be considered.}

The Commissioned artwork is intended to support Hamilton Park's $2.5million renovation that occurred in 2023. This Call requires community engagement that invites the public to be a part of the process of artwork installation. (ie. Community art workshops) and that the community designs collected by the City are utilized in the final design of all artworks.

The City of Pomona invites artists or artist teams to submit qualifications to render, design, and install artwork for the Garey Underpass on the two roadway walls on the Monterey Avenue side of the underpass.

We are seeking experienced artists or artist teams residing or working in the Greater Los Angeles Area: Los Angeles County, Orange County, Ventura County, San Bernardino County, and Riverside County. Artists should have experience with at least one large-scale mural project (over 5,000 square feet). Those without this experience are encouraged to form artist teams.

_{Artists will not be eligible to apply if they have been previously commissioned for a public artwork project by the City’s Cultural Arts Commission in the last three years, with a budget equal to or exceeding $100,000. Artists with current contracts must complete all projects before the Part A submission deadline to be considered.}

The commissioned artwork aims to support the public art component for the Clean California Local Grant received by the City of Pomona to enhance cleanliness, safety, accessibility, and beauty in the Holt Avenue Corridor.
