Home MenuBoards, Commissions, Committees
The City Council relies on a number of citizen boards, commissions and committees to serve as legislative advisory bodies to the Council. These legislative bodies play an important role in the governance of our City and provide valuable input to the City Council. Each entity is composed of local community members, and not only give private citizens the ability to participate in civic activities but also gives voice to specific issues that may not otherwise be addressed.
The City of Pomona encourages all citizens to participate in the various City boards, commissions and committees. Volunteers are appointed by the City Council to serve on each board, commission, or committee and serve with no compensation. The terms of office, qualifications, membership size, responsibilities, and meeting schedules vary for each board, commission, or committee.
There will be 5 Youth Commission openings in June 2024. The recruitment window has closed. Applications received are currently in review. Selections will be made by early June 2024.
