On October 21, 2024, the Pomona City Council amended the City’s Sidewalk Vending Ordinance and Regulations by adopting Urgency Ordinance No. 4351, Ordinance No. 4349, and Resolution No. 2024-155 (“Sidewalk Vending Regulations”). The Sidewalk Vending Regulations are in compliance with Senate Bill SB 946, which allows a local authority to regulate the time, place, and manner of sidewalk vending to address objective health, safety, or welfare concerns. The City’s Sidewalk Vending Regulations allow sidewalk vendors to operate in the City while maintaining and protecting public health, safety, and welfare in the community.
